This page explains what cookies and local storage Limitless Psychology uses, why we use them, how long they last, and how you can control them.
Last updated: May 2026.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device when you visit. We also use local storage, which is similar but lives in your browser rather than being sent back to a server. UK PECR (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) treats both the same way, so this page covers both.
What we set
Limitless Psychology only uses cookies and local storage that are strictly necessary to operate the site and the Web App. We don't use cookies for advertising, analytics, profiling, or tracking your behaviour.
For each entry below we note its type — either Essential (strictly necessary for the site or Web App to work) or Functionality (improving your experience by remembering preferences or saved state). We don't currently use any Analytical or Targeting cookies.
Authentication (set when you sign in)
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
sb-<project>-auth-token | Essential | Keeps you signed in to the Web App across page loads. Set by Supabase Auth when you log in. | Until log out, or after a long period of inactivity. |
sb-<project>-auth-token-code-verifier | Essential | Short-lived security token used during the sign-in flow (PKCE). | A few minutes during login. |
Web App functionality (set when you use the Web App)
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
sms-card-sort-state (local storage) | Functionality | Saves your current card-sort progress so it can be restored if you reload the page or come back later. You're prompted on return whether to restore or start fresh. | Until you clear your browser's local storage or click "Start with a fresh card set". |
What we don't set
- Advertising cookies — we don't advertise to you and don't share data with ad networks.
- Analytics cookies — none. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first tool that measures aggregate page views and visits without setting any cookies or local storage, and without tracking or identifying individual visitors. Because it is cookieless it requires no consent and adds nothing to the tables above.
- Social media cookies — we don't embed Facebook, Twitter, or other social widgets that would set third-party cookies.
Cookies set by third parties on linked pages
The cookies above are the only ones Limitless Psychology sets on its own site. When you interact with the embedded Stripe Buy Button on the product page, proceed to Stripe's hosted checkout, or open the Stripe customer portal to manage your subscription, Stripe sets its own cookies on Stripe-controlled domains. We don't set or control these, but for transparency the ones you're most likely to encounter are:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__stripe_mid | Essential | Merchant identifier used by Stripe for fraud detection across the checkout flow. | 1 year |
__stripe_sid | Essential | Session identifier linking the current visit to a payment session. | 30 minutes (refreshed during use) |
m | Essential | Manages secure communication between the embedded checkout and Stripe's payment infrastructure (set on m.stripe.com). | 1 year |
Stripe describes its full cookie set in its own cookie policy.
The site itself is hosted in the UK by Krystal, whose servers may set essential operational cookies (for example for security or load balancing). These are needed for the site to load.
Expiry overview
The longest-lived cookie set in connection with using our site is __stripe_mid at one year, set by Stripe during checkout. Everything we set on our own domain either expires when you sign out, or persists only as local storage in your browser until you choose to clear it.
How to manage cookies
You can clear cookies and local storage at any time from your browser settings:
- Safari (Mac): Safari → Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Safari (iPhone / iPad): Settings app → Safari → Clear History and Website Data.
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies.
Heads up: blocking or deleting our authentication cookies will sign you out of the Web App, and clearing local storage will discard any unsaved card-sort progress.
